How to Convert Your Music to MP3 or M4A
Do you have audio files that you want to convert to MP3, M4A, WAV or some other audio format?
We are about to show you exactly how to solve that problem, because now it is very simple to convert music into any format required. Anyone can convert DRM protected files and non protected audio into any type of audio format.
Getting through this tutorial will take about 5 minutes and you only need one small piece of software. After the initial install, you can batch convert any audio files into any output format, for your favorite music player, iPod and more.
Probably the quickest and easiest way to perform the conversion is with suitable software. For this tutorial we recommend SoundTaxi, but there are many others that will do an equal task. We advise for SoundTaxi because it is so simple to use. The conversion guide is below.
To convert your music and DRM protected audio:
- Download SoundTaxi Audio Converter
- Install the application and follow the wizard. The total installation time will only be a couple of minutes.
- Once you have the program running, you then need to choose the music to convert. The awesome thing here is that you can select one or more files. We recommend that you put all the files you want to convert into a folder, that way you can select them all at once. You don’t even need to worry about the format of the files. You can select music of different formats to run in the same batch. Now you just click open to get started.
- The conversion process will begin automatically. You can also select more files while the conversion is running, or you can delete existing files in the conversion queue.
- By default, the audio will be converted to unprotected MP3s. You can change the audio output in the properties section.
Your audio files are now converted into very usable MP3s. If you wish to move these to your iPod, that is very simple. There is a button at the top of the program that will do this for you automatically. Just click the “Copy to iPod” button and it’s all done. Alternatively, you can burn the MP3 files to a CD.
This is probably the easiest technique we have used for converting music, especially if it is DRM protected. You can also convert video files with this software, so you should have no problems setting up your new media library. For more guides on video and audio conversion, have a look at DVD User.
